If my ticket is for 8:00 PM, do I get in at 8:00 PM? When should I arrive?

Timed ticketing is a wait reduction strategy only. Your ticket time is an arrival time, not an entry time.  Wait times vary based on each night during Halloween season.  To reduce your  wait time further, attend earlier in the month, on a Sunday, or purchase VIP admission. Please arrive 15 minutes before the time stated on your ticket.  Allow extra  time for parking.  Arriving drastically earlier will only extend your wait time.  Guests are not allowed to enter their timed slotted wait area until 15 minutes before the time stated the ticket.
